MADE FOR ADVENTURE

To celebrate an iconic boot style born in the deserts of Africa and leather sourced from some of the UK's wildest terrain, we can't think of a better ambassador for our new desert boots than acclaimed explorer and writer Levison Wood. Not only did Lev kindly model the boots for the launch, but he will also be putting them through their paces his upcoming trip to Asia in the spring.

Levison Wood is a proud supporter of UNICEF UK, a charity doing incredible work to support child refugees around the world, particularly those fleeing the current conflict in Ukraine. Lev donated his fee for this project to UNICEF UK and we are also offering the option to add a donation with your boot purchase.

SIZE GUIDE

For men, sizing is true to UK standards for a formal shoe. If you have another pair of desert boots, go by that size.
For women, our unisex sizing may differ slightly so please follow the guide below and choose based on the suggested foot length.
Our desert boots are a standard G width fitting.

To measure your feet, place a sheet of paper on the ground against a wall, stand on it with your heel against the same wall, and mark with a pencil around your longest toe (not always your big toe). Make sure the pencil is vertical and wear the same socks that you intend to wear with your boots. For best results ask someone else to do this while you stand still!

Choose the UK size based on the closest 'suggested foot length' in the chart below. Our recomendation allows for 1.5cm room in your boots but if you like your shoes to be tight, then add 1.2cm to your actual foot length and go by that 'shoe inside length'.

If you have any questions at all, please email us on info@billytannery.co.uk before you place an order.

MORE ABOUT OUR DEER SUEDE

Fully traceable back to the UK's finest venison producers, the vast majority of our deerskins were previously going to waste. They are tanned using our mimosa bark tanning process and finished with fully aniline dyes, before the back is buffed to give an incredible buttery soft suede. Technically, as the grain remains on the other side of the leather this is known as "rough-out" rather than suede.
