Our leather cooking apron has been designed with cooking in mind, both for home cooks and professional chefs. Features include leather cross-back straps, chest pocket, solid brass fittings and a hip loop for a tea towel. It is also an ideal apron for BBQ, barbers, bartenders, woodworkers and craftspeople of all types.
Originally designed for London-based chef James Cochran, our chef's leather apron is now worn by a host of cooks from keen amateurs to internationally renowned figures. Our leather apron has recently been seen on BBC and Channel 4 with chef James Strawbridge wearing it on Escape To The Chateau.
The apron is the ultimate celebration of our goat leather, which is made from goatskins that are a by-product of the food industry. The goatskins were previously going to landfill but now, at Billy Tannery, we turn them into leather that can be used by chefs in the kitchen. This makes for a truly circular system that takes nose-to-tail eating to the next level.
